The tradition of copper water ("Tamra Jal")

In Ayurveda, storing water overnight in a copper vessel is a daily ritual called Tamra Jal. Many people fill their copper bottle at night and drink from it first thing in the morning. It's a simple, plastic-free habit rooted in centuries of Indian tradition.

How to use

1. Before first use, rinse with warm water and a little lemon juice.
2. Fill with plain drinking water and let it rest for 6–8 hours, or overnight.
3. Use for room-temperature water only.

Please note: Do not store lemon water, juice, milk, carbonated drinks or hot liquids in copper. Acidic drinks react with copper.

Care

• Hand wash only. Not dishwasher or microwave safe.
• Copper naturally darkens over time. That's normal and shows it's real copper.
• To restore the shine, rub with lemon and salt (or tamarind paste), rinse, and dry completely.
